so i just rewatched the kaguya sama movie and man it still hits the same. these post are always pretty long and this prolly will be too so can read it if you havent watched kaguya sama, i think this will convince you to actually watch it.

Mannnn tbh love is war is prolly the only anime that combines romance and comedy such well. Its rare to find and anime that is like one of the best in multiple genres but kaguya sama is one of them. Its is considered top 3 in both romance and comedy, alteast its in my romance and comedy top 3.

Comedy in anime has always been pretty weird yk, cliche and repeated jokes that always feel cringe. It feel like they are trying too hard or trying too less to be funny. nothing of that applies to love is war, idt there was any joke i didnt find funny or enjoyable, no jokes gets repeated, no cliche jokes, the delivery and timing of every joke was perfect and comedy didnt feel forced. The characters are funny, the narrator is even funnier and the jokes are original and unique. if you dont like comedy in anime, i think you should try love is war, i bet you are gonna laugh.

the romance also doesnt get sidelined by the comedy. yes the romance is not your cliche romance, i mean people call it deathnote of romance of a reason lol. but the pogression is amazing and the romance really shines when its the focus. i really enjoyed the delivery of the love aspect, usually comedy is the main focus thats why whenever there is serious romance it feels special.

And the best part, OFC THE CHARACTERS, imma say it kaguya sama has best characters in all of anime, not just romance and comedy, ALL of anime. name me one other anime in where every single character is loved by everyone and enjoyable. i can only think of love is war. Having chika and ishigami as side characters in the same show is crazy, i can claim they are individually the best side characters. Ai, miko, kei, tsubame, miyuki's dad the couple (i forgot their name, omfg they were so funny i am tweaking thinking about them lmaooo.) and ofc the MCs. dont forget about the narrator, love is war uses the narrator like none other. i have never seen such a good use of narrator in any piece of media lmaoo.

well this might have felt highly exaggerated but this is my personal opinion lol. dont get offended of something, i glaze the stuff i like till the point it gets drenched. you can disagree about anything but i wont take any chika, ishigami or Ai slander.
