Humanity was forced to seek refuge deep underground due to the unprecedented calamity known as the "Tears of the New Moon," but following the collapse of the underground city-state of "Amasia," they begun to venture back towards the surface with hope of living there once more. Forming settlements called "Nests" scattered across the surface, adventurers known as "Drifters" continues to battle the lingering threat of the "Enders" and mine the "AO Crystals" which are an essential energy resource necessary for the operation of the nests. In the nest "Rock Town" where such Drifters gather, one wishing to become such a Drifter one day, "Kanata," alongside the skilled Drifter "Tokio," went to explore the ruins of an old museum where Kanata happens to discover a very beautiful sleeping "Magus." With the encounter of the mysterious Magus "Noir," a tale of destiny is slowly beginning to unfold.

The year is 2222. It has been years since Tears of the New Moon, a mysterious rain, poured and wiped out almost the entire human race. The poisonous rain gave birth to deformed creatures devouring humans, and humanity fled from the danger. As means for survival, the humans then build an underground haven; Amasia. In this newly built dystopian city, in a pursuit of maintaining their existence, they run into an Artificial Intelligence named Magus. Not knowing how things will work between them, the story of how Humans and AI coinciding and trying to find their truths begin.

Born into a unique world where villages fight to gain power and control, the main character, Shi Hao, is a genius blessed by the heavens born under the poorest of conditions. His clan, however, has a mysterious past. To rise up and become the genius he is meant to be, the clan goes through every effort to aid his cultivation as they battle through fanatical monsters and engage in power struggles with other clans. Revealing himself to be a Dual Knight, Long Hao Chen triumphs in his match within his temple and advances to the finals. During the rankings, Hao Chen is injured, enraging Sheng Cai'er and driving her to seek vengeance for what happened to him. Her actions cause a fight between the Knight Temple and Assassin Temple, only to be subdued after a shocking revelation—that Sheng Cai'er is a Reincarnated Saint. The finals for the Demon Hunting Team Competition begin with the division of the sixty remaining participants into six groups. The top sixteen participants are then further pitted against each other to determine the top three. Each of the top three will be rewarded with a spiritual stove and the right to pick their teammates. In order to become a knight that is capable of defeating the Demon Lord, Long Hao Chen must strive to be first in this competition so he can select the best teammates to give him a fighting chance.
